A weaker sun, though still warm, melts the frosty air, The earthy smells of freshly turned fields and mown hay, Dogs barking, birds gathering, a wiff of wood smoke on the breeze, The pace turns faster with harvest and preparations, Soon the long cold nights will come, crystal and silent, sparkling wonder. I use the MicroSoft Paint application that comes with all Windows operating systems to create my pictures. All of my paintings start out as a blank white screen. Most start out as a small 2 inch by 2 inch image. The picture is built up by adding colour, line and form. Images are usually enlarged and edited a couple of times before I consider them complete.
